Easy breezy summer style

I love this outfit. I pieced it together to give you guys an idea what I consider a perfect summer day wear. You can walk on the beach, take a stroll in the city, have a simple brunch with a girlfriend etc.
You can also swap the Toms out for a cute high heeled Espadrille for more of a dressed up feel.

-J.crew Fedora
- Soft Joie top
- Free People shorts
- Toms sneakers

Bright Blazers

Okay I lovvvvve bright colored blazers. Everything about it screams spring. It's a great way to add some color to your wardrobe. Spring and summer to me is all about airy styles with pops of color. Turns out its not just a girl thing. Check out the guys getting in on it. Luv it!

Sneaker wedge craze!

Okay I must admit when I first saw the sneaker wedge featured in a fashion mag I nearly cringed. I hated it with a passion. The idea of a sneaker with a wedge just did not interest me at all. The sneaker wedge however was everywhere and some where down the line I actually started to love it! Some more then others. I love "Ash" version of it. Fun colors, nice comfy fit and looks super cute on. I just purchased my first pair in black. I took a pair so you all can see my new shoe addition. It's just about summer here in NYC so I won't wear them until the fall but I can't wait!
I do wonder how long this style will be popular though. The style I got was the Ash bowie and it retails for $195. This seems to be a very popular sneaker but I've noticed some celebs including Beyonce rocking the more expensive Isabel Marant which can retail over $700

How do you guys feel about the sneaker wedge?

Accessories... Oh la la

So I'm sure there are tons of ladies who feel how I feel about an awesome piece of Jewlery. You can wear a simple top, a pair of jeans, no frill shoes and the moment you had on that statement making necklace, earrings etc suddenly your outfit comes alive! There is one collection I have been absolutely smitten with and that's... Drum roll pls :)

House of Harlow!!
I love the vintage take and Edgy feel. I've also seen some different unique pieces. One of my favorite jewlery staples are the house of harlow starburst earrings. They are in the pic above. I love them because they are classy yet commands enough attention that makes not only my face pop but dresses up my out fit too!

Make a Statement jewlery!

I went to H&M the other day and I got this cool necklace. It's definitely a statement piece. I was looking for something that I could wear a simple top with but I wanted to create a Lil color. I have worn it to both work and on my spare time.

I also got these cool funky bangles from Aldo but I think to pair them with the necklace is a bit much.. At least for me. What do you guys think? Fashion is about taking risk but its a fine line between creativity and overkill. Plus you personally have to feel comfortable no matter if it flows together or you get a 100 compliments. Idk I suppose both could work together if I had the right look.

My introduction

Allow me to introduce myself...

I'm Arneeka. Just an ordinary girl with an extraordinary love for fashion and writing. Why not combine the two :-) I wanted to create a fashion blog that was a true reflection of myself and my
Loves/inspirations in fashion. WELCOME to The Fashion Reflection. :-)

Fashions fade, style is eternal.
 —  Yves Saint-Laurent

I have a daughter who is 12. She is a tween and very much into fashion but more so the designing aspect but just fashion in general. I find it interesting how things that was once old is new again and it's even more interesting to see it from her eyes. Everything is brand new to her. She's still trying to find her style sense but I admire that she wants to be herself! I told Iyona that I want her to help me with this blog from time to time... Like a mother/daughter collaboration. **sweet** The purpose is not only for us to enjoy blogging together but also to shed light on fashions from two different perspectives and hopefully bridge the generation gap so both the young and not so young anymore can get something out of reading the blog :-)

To get an idea of my own personal style this is me:

-Peplum top from zara and Leather(ish) leggings. I love the bold bright color!
